The Position:

We are looking for passionate and energetic Swimming Instructors to join our highly regarded Aquatics Team. You will report directly to the Aquatics Coordinator and work collaboratively with a team of Swimming Instructors, to ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner. This is a casual role with shifts available on Monday / Wednesday / Thursday pm and Saturday am.

Key tasks & responsibilities will include:

Provide high quality, professional, safe and engaging instruction to participants in the Learn to Swim engaging instruction to participants in swimming programs

  • Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all students and always maintain high quality surveillance and instructional techniques in and around the water
  • Implement water safety
  • Teach foundational swimming skills
  • Introduction to and instruction of swimming strokes
  • Prepare lesson plans with clear learning intentions and deliverables
  • Provide feedback to the Head of Aquatics about individual student progression, when requested
  • Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring regular, proactive feedback to students and families and striving to maintain an optimum learning experience

About You:

To be considered for this position, it is essential that you have:

  • Austswim or equivalent qualification
  • 18+ years of age
  • Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Display a high level of self-awareness and the ability to maintain positive relationships
