Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager, you'll join us as the Deputy Project Engineering Manager for HCS in Perth, focusing on the High-Capacity Signalling project. This project aims to modernize Perth's urban rail network control systems, enhancing communication-based train control systems to allow for more efficient train operations.

As the Deputy Project Engineering Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Participating in Migration strategy definition and defining system architecture and concept design
  • Communicating and managing target deliveries, scope, and status
  • Leading CBTC System Requirements effort and ensuring compliance with standards
  • Identifying, defining, and managing system interfaces
  • Leading system design meetings and reviews
  • Developing and maintaining a Signalling System Description document
  • Supporting technical decisions and managing technical changes
  • Supporting System Configuration Management and Sub-System team

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's or Masters in Engineering, Electrical, or related field
- Experience in Rail systems design and application
- Good verbal/written communications skills
- Experience in CBTC system solution

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Rigorous, autonomous, with excellent analytical and synthesis skills
  • Strong technical coordination and communication abilities
  • Proficient in written and verbal English

Technical Competency & Experience:

  • Technical knowledge in railway signaling, preferably in CBTC System design
  • Understanding of railway signaling principles
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to build constructive relationships and multitask efficiently
