As a key member of the Financial Control team, you will be supporting the delivery of end-to-end financial control for Macquarie's Banking & Financial Services business which includes products such as Personal Banking, Business Banking, Payments & Deposits and Wealth.

What role will you play?


In this role you will be responsible for business balance sheet and profit and loss activities including General Ledger close activities, confirming accuracy, understanding key controls and judgements, and stakeholder communications.


You will provide technical accounting support for new business initiatives (such as new products or features) and have the opportunity to implement and monitor the financial control framework.

You will while also drive process improvements and automation to build a scalable finance function that supports the Banking and Financial Services strategy.

What you offer

  • Tertiary degree in accounting or similar and CA/CPA qualified
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated curiosity (the ability to challenge the status quo) and a willingness to learn
  • Previous experience in financial services preferred
  • Technical accounting expertise and/or the ability to work with large operationally complex environment will be highly considered.
