We are seeking a skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our clients Finance Team on a temporary basis. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and community-focused organisation.

35 hours per week, with an hourly rate that is negotiable for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service through various channels, including telephone, counter inquiries, and correspondence handling.Manage reconciliation and processing of payments from collections agencies, Bpay, Direct Debits, and bank reconciliations.Maintain and update creditors and debtors master files, and perform month-end tasks.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and uphold the accuracy and integrity of financial records.Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient finance processes and procedures.Provide operational support in relation to accounts payable and accounts receivable to all stakeholders.Maintain, reconcile and reimburse the petty cash float, corporate credit cards and fuel cards.Provide the Financial Services unit with Business Support functions including, but not limited to,
preparation of correspondence, electronic filing and preparation of finance working papers. Qualifications & Skills Required: Certificate IV in accounting, financial management, business management, or equivalent experience.Proven experience in an accounting environment, particularly in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable (minimum 5 years ideally).Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to review and validate own work.Excellent communication skills with the ability to communication wtih a range of stakeholders.Computer skills, experience across MS Office, computerised accounting systems, electronic document systems. Experience using Civica Authority would be beneficial.
