The Role

This is a long-term position that will initially begin as a temporary role (approximately 6 months) but will transition into a permanent opportunity. Reporting directly to the Billing Manager, this diverse and challenging role offers interviews starting from mid to late April. Full training will be provided. The role involves 3 days in the office and 2 days from home and will start as soon as possible.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Invoice generation and billing for up to 200 customers each month
- Account reconciliations
- Managing billing queries and logging issues in the company portal
- Documenting processes and workarounds
- Generating aged debtors reports
- Attendance at monthly branch meetings
- Close collaboration with credit control and operations teams
- Maintaining a list of credit notes
- Regular communication with General Managers
- Providing direct support to the Finance Manager for projects and process enhancement
- Processing daily direct debit runs
- Investigating and issuing refunds
- Analyzing misallocated payments
- Utilizing Excel for formatting and conditional formatting
It is a full-time role from Monday to Friday. Working hours are flexible but will likely total 38 hours per week.

This is truly an outstanding opportunity. While experience in billing or banking is preferred, individuals with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and analytical thinking are encouraged to apply. Candidates with some basic accounting background in a medium to large organization are welcome, even if they are from outside the billing and accounts receivable departments. Must have the right to work long-term in Australia.

Your Profile

Preferably, you will have experience in Invoicing, Billing, or Accounts Receivable with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role. Alternatively, you may have worked as an Accounts Officer or Banking Officer. You should be ambitious and eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The following qualities are also beneficial:
- Experience with large company receivables accounts
- A willingness to learn and grow in the role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable commuting to northern suburbs part of the week
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Readiness to start promptly if selected
- Long-term work rights in Australia
