Job Purpose:


Responsible for providing Engineering design and support for communications systems, products and ancillaries for a variety of Australian and International customers across current Acquisition and Support programs, as well as supporting future business growth opportunities.


Your work will include the systems engineering delivery of allocated projects as they progress through the systems engineering lifecycle from bid & proposal, to requirements through to sustainment.

In addition this role provides technical analysis and testing of communications systems across the RF spectrum on a variety of platforms across multiple domains (e.g. soldiers, ships, vehicles, aircraft, space).

Your work will encompass technical investigation, product change, modification or improvement, support and disposal of L3Harris products and systems to maintain compliance with regulatory frameworks, contractual obligations and customer requirements.

L3Harris is looking for someone who:

  • Is an entrylevel professional with broad theoretical job knowledge.
  • Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for nonroutine tasks.
  • Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information.
  • Contributes to systems and process changes in work routines.
  • Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tasks as allocated through the systems engineering lifecycle of projects and support development of technical artifacts.
  • Develop tailored solutions based on customer requirements / constraints.
  • Provide technical advice to internal and external stakeholders with respect to requests for information on the products supported by L3Harris.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to effectively handle priorities.
  • Ability to break down systems into components to resolve integration issues.
  • Ability to construct technical arguments in support of performance of products / systems to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to tailor communications to the stakeholder.
  • Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong computer skills in MS office suite and Visio.
  • Attention to detail in report writing, quality control and work product peer review.
  • Ability to navigate effectively within engineering tools and business management system.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Examples include
:

Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems, Software

  • No more than 2 years of post graduate engineering experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Security Clearance (AGSVA NV1).
