Our Client, based out of the Melbourne CBD, is recruiting for a Data Analyst to join their team and work on a key account.


Joining an established Data Analytics reporting & visualisation team, this role will involve being responsible for the Data itself, which will include Data Modelling, effective data ingestion and transformation and availability.


As new business capabilities are developed, this position will be integral in creating new data feeds and sets to support delivery.

The platform has already been built and is ready for someone to take the reins and develop skills as a key technical resource for the platform end to end (Career growth opportunities, strong opportunity to influence)


As this is a customer facing role, we are looking for someone with strong communication skills and an affable approach.

This is a permanent position, with a hybrid (flexible) work model.

Responsibilities

  • Follow documented guidelines to understand the Data platform integration and Data Storage structure.
  • Maintain Data pipelines in Azure Data Factory and make changes to the data mapping in the data factory pipeline as per the changes in the data source.
  • Maintain data storage structure on Data Sources such as SharePoint, Data Lake, and SQL Tables.
  • Carry out data transformation using SQL stored procedures and build triggered procedures to automate data processing.
  • Design SQL views as per the report requirements.
  • Do data transformations on Power BI and add rowlevel security to the datasets.
  • Support Automated Data Correction process; Manually run update queries on Azure SQL DB to correct data values as per data source.
  • Communicate with the client to understand the reporting requirements and modify the data platform accordingly.
  • Understand business requirements and develop solutions by expanding the Data Platform technologies.
  • Manage security groups and configure access to the data platform for new joiners and additional team members when required.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in Data transformation, Data Modelling, and Data Mapping.
  • Previous experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Workspace.
  • Basic understanding of

Azure Platforms:
Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, etc.

  • Advanced

SQL:
SQL views, SQL stored procedures, triggers, JOINS.
