We are looking for a medical receptionist to join our team.
We may be a small practice; however, we are a mighty practice.
About the role:
- Greet, 'arrive' and attend to patients direct and keep patients informed of any anticipated delays.
- Ensure patients are correctly identified and all patient details are current.
- Answer incoming telephone calls attending to appointments and enquiries promptly and courteously.
- Convey messages promptly to the appropriate person, documenting as appropriate.
- Triage patients as necessary according to guidelines.
- Attend to patient recalls and reminders as appropriate.
- Advise patients of billing policies, issue invoices and receipts, process patient payments.
- Type and file outgoing correspondence.
- Photocopying and scanning as required
- Communicate effectively with the GP's, Nurse, visiting specialist as well as the admin team.
About you:
- Bright/friendly personality
- Team player enjoy working in a team environment.
- Must be flexible with days.
- Must be available to work on a Saturday.
- Experience working in General Practice
- Familiar with Best Practice
Essential Criteria:
- Previous reception experience
- Knowledge of Best Practice
- Neat and professional appearance
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a fastpaced team environment is imperative.
