- $50 Per Hour + Super + Overtime

We are looking for:

  • Trade qualified fitter/turner with vast mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience within rubber or heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to work with variety of hand and power tools efficiently and safety.
  • Ability to work on workshop equipment such as Mill, Drill, Bandsaw, Lathe, etc.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Strong safety focus.
  • Available to attend call outs, as required.
  • Available to work overtime, when required.
  • Current Forklift licence.
  • Basic welding competency desirable.

The role will be:

  • Full-Time position (40 hours per week), we were looking for a permanent (if directly with us) role to start asap.
- $50 per hour Temp to Perm

  • Covered by our Enterprise Agreement
  • Afternoon Shift (2pm to 10pm) some overtime might be required.

About the role:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the focus of this role is to support production by maintaining machinery.

Maintenance:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various site equipment.
  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance, as required.
  • Carry out inspections, as required by PMs and other plans.
  • Carry out machining of parts and components, as required.
  • Support with documentation of maintenance activities and spare parts.
  • Comply with site's preventative maintenance and spare parts management strategy.
  • Operate and provide services within organization's vision and guidelines.
  • Contribute to 5S activities, by ensuring that work area is kept clean, tidy and equipment is maintained to standards.
  • Perform activities which may be delegated from time to time.

Projects:

  • Install new equipment and decommission old, as and when required.
  • Support equipment overhaul and refurbishment projects.
  • Participate in and support site's capital investment initiatives.
