As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for the running of various machines that have the function of bending, shaping and cutting steel.

You will also be responsible for loading and unloading trucks and picking orders within the warehouse.

Client Details
Our client is an Australian Manufacturer of quality steel building products, and have been around for 100 years strong. Their sites span across the country, with one of their biggest being based here in Emu Plains.

Description

Duties:

  • Load machines with steel ready for it to be bent, cut or shaped to client specifications
  • Set machine to the correct settings
  • Unload machine ready for steel to be dispatched
  • Allocate structural steel in warehouse, pick orders as required
  • Load and unload trucks
  • General labouring duties
Training will be provided.

This position is a physical job which requires manual handling.


You are not expected to lift any products above your means, there are forklift drivers and crane operators on site to lift the heavier goods.


Profile

About you:

  • Must have an understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to complete tasks to a high quality of workmanship and display an outstanding attention to detail
  • Follow the fabrication standards as set out by the organisation
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment/workshop
  • Able to work in team environment
  • Be selfmotivated and at times work alone

Must have:

  • Must pass a drug and alcohol test
  • Working rights within Australia
  • A keen eye and attention to detail
  • Must be reliable and hard working
