The Role

  • This role works with the Marketing Data and Insights team, to identify the advanced analytics needs and then develops, implements, monitors and maintains sophisticated predictive models (including propensity models, lifetime value, etc.) that best achieve marketing and business goals.
Working as part of a specialist data team, this role will identify opportunities to retain and grow the client base by communicating insights from data, provide technical data scripting and analytics to enable coherent insight into the client base, provide campaign data requirements, and manage the marketing single customer view requirements across MLC, Plum, Navigator, One Path and Insignia brands
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the test design, sampling, multivariate testing, design of experiments and develop testing schemes and sampling plan to support A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Provide actionable and insightful recommendations from data mining, segmentation, customer analyses with the goals of identifying acquisition, crosssell, upsell, and retention opportunities.
  • Build an indepth multichannel understanding of client behaviour and needs across relevant segments and develop client personas.
  • Prepare data for marketing consumption layer.
  • Work with the marketing leads to develop profiling and targeting strategies for segmentation, models and market data to drive campaign outcomes
  • Identify new data modelling, segmentation and test & learn needs on the basis of marketing requirements and collaborate with members of the data team to bring them to life
  • Recommend appropriate course of action resulting from analytical insights (eg. marketing activity, client contact opportunities) to best meet business objectives
  • Present analytical findings using data visualisation tools and creation of insight presentations for various audiences
  • Develop improved analysis approaches and test and learn frameworks
  • Help identify new projects and opportunities to enhance data capabilities.

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

  • Qualifications in a quantitative field (Data science, Computer Science, IT/MIS, Mathematics, Econometrics, statistics or other related fields)
  • 8 years plus experience operating in an analytics leadership role with proven successes in the execution of major data analytics initiatives
  • Ability to communicate the results of analyses and data visualization
  • A strong technical background (SQL, SAS, etc) and a view of best practice at an enterprise level
  • Excellent ability to pull out key client insights and suggest recommendations for improved business performance
  • Broad knowledge across data integration, warehousing, and visualisation
  • Commercially minded and have extensive experience business partnering with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong analytics capabilities can make sense of large sets of data, provide analytics insight and imagination, generate insights to improve the business, and strive for impact.
  • Ability to translate complex analysis through clear, simple communication which any internal stakeholder can understand
