Refrigeration Apprentice

We are currently looking for an refrigeration apprentice to join the team.

Working with qualified and skilled team members you will, gain valuable hands on experience, mentoring and support.

Duties will involve:

• Installation Manager / Service Coordinator / Factory Organiser
• You will be required to work under supervision in the following areas while maintaining a high degree of attention to learning.
• You will need to be aware that each member of the team in the organization plays a key and vital role for the daytoday activities of the company, continuing reliability and punctuality is considered of great importance.

Generally, you will be required to:

• Attain a level of understanding of the company's business activities, customers and clients.
• Attain a level of understanding of the company's business methodology, work to maintain and add valve to this.
• Attain a level of understanding of the company's WH & S policy and requirements including WH & S requirements of the company's clients.
• Carry out client specific inductions including but not limited to construction Industry Green Card.
• Contribute to the companies on going WH & S improvement by way of communicating safety concerns, safety issues, product concerns, new ideas or equipment that would promote safety and health improvements through the company.
• Work closely and amicably within our small group of employees.
• Observe Workshop activity and carry out under instruction tasks assigned to you by the workshop manager. You must be under supervision whilst working in the Workshop at all times.
• Observe Service mechanic activity and carry out under instruction tasks assigned to you by your manager or mechanic. You must be under supervision whilst working within the Service department.
• Observe Installation mechanic activity and carry out under instruction tasks assigned to you by your manager or mechanic. You must be under supervision whilst working within the Installation department.
• Attend TAFE college for the purpose of your employment training.
• Ensure attendance to TAFE is maintained and each TAFE year completed successfully.
• Maintain a work log book which is clear and legibly, seek assistance from managers, mechanics and supervisors to clarify work activities that are being entered to the log book.

In their normal daily duties the employee is generally required to:

• Dress in the uniform attire supplied by the company, ensure the attire is clean and ironed and the employee presents well groomed.
• Ensure PPE equipment is worn at all time. Ensure PPE equipment is in good order and condition.
• Do not drive a company vehicle without the express permission of your immediate manager.
• Required to achieve a learning and understanding of the work type of each company department.
• Work only under supervision wether on a job site or the workshop including works carried out during your TAFE attendance.
• Be a confident communicator
• Be able to undertake manual/physical work
• Motivated with a genuine interest in the fabrication industry
• Be trustworthy and reliable
• Have a high level of attention to detail
• Have minimum amount of tools or equipment required to commence your learning.

Suitable applicants must have a genuine interest in pursuing refrigeration as a career path, be motivated and willing to work hard to get trade qualified.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
