Who You Are:

Our team is seeking an experienced and efficient Minecraft Datapack and Command Block expert who can work with our incredible team of Minecraft Set Designers to bring YouTube scripts and storyboards to life in an interactive and exciting way; whilst making the Sets (Minecraft Builds) practical for filming environments and children audiences.

Your Responsibilities and Skills:

• Interpreting storyboards and scripts into physical Minecraft builds and sets that are practical for the events that take place in them such as dialogue, pranks, timing, etc
• Create realistic events that are both visually appealing and functional, whilst also being realistic enough that the audience does not believe it is 'fake'.
• Work with builds in a variety of styles from 'noob' to 'pro' to 'professional' to 'hacker' and all across the spectrum depending on the context of the story
• Build in the most efficient and effective way with the use of common building techniques and aids such as WorldEdit
• Create interesting and unique, functional, gameplay moments and game level design within scripts that engage and interest the audience.
• Use command blocks, redstone, datapacks and mods to bring the builds to life in an interactive, practical and functional manner to allow the events of the script to take place.

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years of Game Level Design/Minecraft Building/Set Design/Java Development/Coding
• A full understanding of Minecraft and all game mechanics
• A moderate understanding of WorldEdit
• A full understanding of Minecraft Mods, Addons, Datapacks, Resource Packs
• A full understanding of Minecraft commands, command blocks and redstone circuitry.
• Ability to meet and understand deadlines.
• Ability to understand feedback and act on it.
• Preferable Additional Skills
• Worked with major competitors in this age demographic previously (Prestonplayz, Craftee/LogDotZip, Bionic, xNestorio, Quiff, Donibobes, etc)
• Worked with a Minecraft Marketplace team
• Experience in other Minecraft/YouTube industryspecific roles (Builder, Editor, Animator, Actor, etc)
