About this opportunity

SULO MGB Australia is sub-contracted by Councils/customers to undertake in-field maintenance of their MGB fleet. This maintenance includes distributing new bins, replacing damaged bins, removing unwanted or stolen bins, replacing, or installing stands and repairing parts on bins. The role requires the FMS Technician to complete all jobs as assigned via electronic handheld devices (or equivalent) within the required KPIs each day to ensure complete satisfaction of the customers. Each job needs to be documented and the device returned each day with appropriate notes entered with explanations of where tasks were unable to be completed or varied from original instruction. All tasks are to be performed within company guidelines, work instructions and applicable laws. Accidents, whether person or property are to be reported immediately to supervisor.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

· The employee must follow all written and verbal procedures and work instructions in particular adhering to all safety aspects.

· Attend each address & complete tasks as per the job allocation paying attention to any instructions supplied. Task must be completed in line with the given KPI timeframe.

· Record status of each task completed on the device, noting the parts used, status and comment where applicable.

· Contact Field Maintenance Administrator as required for queries on jobs

· All tasks issued by SULO must be completed correctly and returned daily including incomplete tasks, marked as "futile" with a photograph attached confirming the inability to complete.

· Any issues that may have occurred during the day should be reported to the Field Maintenance Administrator. Accidents must be reported immediately to supervisor.

· Prepare and load truck for work each day as per jobs issued.

· Keep vehicle always clean internally and externally

· Check all fluid levels in vehicle weekly

· Undertake a daily prestart checklist for the vehicles being driven.

· Report any mechanical or other problems associated with the truck as they occur

· Ensure the vehicle is serviced at the appropriate time and that tyres are always at a safe/legal level

· Always adhere to OH&S requirements, including safe work practices and safe driving practices.

· Other duties as required by Supervisor within your capabilities.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, however where two people are required to undertake certain defined tasks as described in any Risk assessment, this role will take the supervisory position.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

· Year 10 and /or Certificate II or equivalent experience.

· Forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory

· Current applicable Driver's Licence and a demonstrated good driving record.

Language skills

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

· Ability to write simple correspondence in English.

· Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.

Mathematical skills

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
