Turks are currently seeking a Law Clerk/ Legal Assistant to join our Life Insurance, Superannuation and Financial Advice (LSFA) practice group on a part time basis (minimum 3.5 days per week) in Melbourne.

Responsibilities
You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • preparation and drafting of court documents/correspondence;
- diary management;
- brief preparation;
- collating of various documents;
- monthly billing;
- opening/closing files;
- assisting lawyers as necessary; and
- general administrative tasks.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • experience working in a law firm, ideally with experience in legal assistance;
- exceptional organisational skills;
- enthusiastic, committed and proactive approach to work; and
- a meticulous eye for detail and accurate proof reading skills.

In addition, you will:
- have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively to work within tight time frames;
- ability to work autonomously and within a team.
