Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of Maintenance processes and work instructions on BESS installations, collaborating with project managers and the engineering team.
  • Coordinate with HSE personnel to promote a Safety-first culture during installation and commissioning of BESS projects at customer sites.
  • Provide feedback to Quality and Engineering teams, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain documentation for BESS projects, ensure project commissioning requirements are met within budgets and timelines.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to communicate technical requirements to suppliers and evaluate proposals.
  • Support project members and share knowledge within Hitachi Energy and externally.
  • Contribute to process and tool improvements for efficiency.

Background:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Controls) or equivalent, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems engineering.
  • Technical expertise in power systems and electrical engineering with 3 to 5 years of project execution experience.
  • Experience in power automation, generation, Battery Energy Storage, or Inverter technology.
  • Exposure to heavy engineering segments like Mining, oil and gas.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in engineering software applications.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to work autonomously or as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.
