Public Sector People (PSP) are currently looking to speak to a

UX/ UI Designer who would be interested in an initial 3-month rolling contract within Local Government.
- _As soon as possible start date. _
- _3 to 6 month contract _
- _Inner Melbourne suburb location _
- _Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office & 2 days from home) _
- _$55 - $70 an hour + super _

An initial 3-month contract with the view to extend for another 3-months due to workload and plenty of projects happening within the team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create journey maps, user and process flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and UI design and specification to effectively communicate the end user experience.
  • Maintain, update, and extend design libraries and design system with adherence to Council brand and accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Review and analyse digital experience analytics and performance to remove customer friction and identify optimisation opportunities
  • Design and conduct qualitative customer research activities and usability evaluations.
  • Collaborate and engage with stakeholder groups across Council, including fellow peers.

Requirements Include:

***The following qualifications and/or experience are required for the position:
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HCD, design thinking and agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience with a strong work portfolio that demonstrates considered process and quality deliverables and outcomes.
  • Strong research, conceptual and analytical skills.
  • UI design experience using Figma is highly desirable.
  • Ability to engage and influence a diverse group of internal stakeholders.
