Have you ever had an interest in becoming a Qualified Butcher?

As an apprentice butcher, your duties will include (but are definitely not limited to)

  • Cutting meat from bones, trimming fat from meat, and presenting items for sale.
  • Giving advice on preparation and cooking to customers.
  • Preparing cuts of meat from a wide variety of sources
  • Crumbing, seasoning, marinating, smoking and curing different meats.
  • Provide excellent customer service,
  • Producing smallgoods from specially prepared and selected cuts of meat.
  • Working towards your Certificate III in Butchery onthejob and via TAFE
  • Commitment to working in a safe, professional and hygenic manner
  • Can provide great customer service, and can work comfortably in a retail environment
  • Good eye for detail,
  • Comfortable working on your feet, and often in coldroom/refrigerated environments
  • Keen on obtaining a nationallyaccredited trade qualification
