The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences is seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in Midwifery to join our team.

The School offers a wide range of vocational education and training certificates, as well as undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, across a number of health disciplines, via on-campus or flexible education with online study.

The School leads the way for Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) students and boasts a strong professoriate with portfolios in learning and teaching, research and community engagement.

You will be responsible for contributing to the teaching effort of the School and carrying out activities to maintain and develop your scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the profession or discipline.

You will be expected to perform assigned teaching duties with students on and off-campus with a standard of planning, preparation, presentation, and assessment as necessary for students to achieve unit and course objectives.

• Possession of a postgraduate qualification in Midwifery or related discipline.
• Current registration as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and at least 3 years recent post registration clinical experience.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
• Proven ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University students.
• Ability to develop innovative teaching materials that ensure student learning outcomes.
• You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
