Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to work within Australia's leading broadacre and seed company.

This is a full -time position working Monday to Friday (7am -4pm).


As a Maintenance Fitter, your main responsibility will be to carry out a range of mechanical work on machines, sub-assemblies and manufacturing parts using a range of processes, tools and machines.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintaining & repairing machines
  • Marking the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments.
  • Assembling and fitting machined parts using drill holes and tap threads for bolting parts together
  • Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
  • Cleaning and lubricating assembled articles
  • Shrinkfit parts during assembly, using oxyacetylene torches and presses
  • Manufacturing, repairing and faultfinding hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Operating powered machines which may be manually, or computer controlled
  • Erecting machinery and equipment on site
  • Inspecting machinery regularly and making any adjustments or repairs needed

About you:

  • Forklift Licence desirable but not essential
  • MR Licence desirable but not essential
  • Experience with pneumatichydraulic work, fitting and machine maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret plans
  • Selfmotivated and the ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Strong problem solving, mechanical reasoning and faultfinding skills
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards the job.
  • Sound level proficiency in commonly used computer systems.
