Oak Tree own and operate an impressive portfolio of retirement villages along the Eastern Seaboard, specialising in providing affordable, stylish, and secure retirement communities.
With c1500 completed units and a secured development pipeline of over 1,000 units, Oak Tree is well placed to continue to meet the demand for quality units catering for the 55-plus cohort who will represent about 31% of our national population by 2030.
In recent months, Oak Tree Group have been fully acquired by existing investment partners Aware Super, who are now one of Australia's largest owners of retirement living assets.
This is a truly exciting time for Oak Tree, who have embarked on significant growth as a portfolio company of a successful fund who have long term ambitions in retirement living.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this newly created role is perfectly suited to an ambitious and technically strong qualified CA or CPA.
Joining their high performing finance team, this is a critical role in the finance structure which will support the ongoing delivery of financial and management accounting for the Oak Tree Group and their villages, whilst striving to build strong business partnerships and support their ongoing growth through reporting, analysis, forecasting, and supporting critical business projects.
Responsibilities will include:
- Play a key role in the delivery of month end and year end reporting processes.
- Develop detailed financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis whilst provide commentary to key business stakeholders.
- Develop relationships from village managers to internal leaders, learn the inner workings of the business and build capabilities for management reporting, financial insights, and commentary on performance and business risks.
- Tackle relevant technical accounting requirements as needed, provide support and mentor junior team members.
- Support business growth through seeking improvements & solutions to finance systems, business models, and other relevant financial processes and systems including BI.
- Assist in future ERP implementation.
