Data Governance Analyst - RFQ-ASD SOW - Original


JP2289 is a rapidly growing 6 year project within ASD to build and uplift ASD systems and support organisation elements for the introduction of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, communities and tactical users into the information environment.

Project activities include expanding the existing network, computing systems, complex gateway services, cloud services, mission services, data management services, and deployable systems.

JP2289 is executing a highly innovative delivery strategy enabling multi-classification working and a partnership between the ASD and Defence enterprises.

To facilitate project outcomes, ASD has a requirement for a Data Governance Analyst.

This role will work closely with Mission Data Division (MD) and REDSPICE in defining the next generation of Data Governance and Data Management systems.

The Data Governance Analyst would assist a multi-disciplinary team to mature ASD's internal metadata standards, data governance standards and data governance tooling.

The Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for customer engagement, process modelling and development of business requirements.

The Data Governance Analyst will work with agile teams across multiple classification domains to ensure customers' needs are understood and eventually satisfied.

The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility (LOR 4).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a roadmap of work to mature the Data Governance capability from the current to a future state.
  • Investigate operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and nonautomated components of Data Governance.
  • Work iteratively with stakeholders to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests.
  • Model business processes to identify gaps, issues and opportunities.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Work as part of the multidisciplinary Data Governance team, providing operational support as required.
  • Australian Citizenship and a TSPV security clearance is essential.
