The Role

Reporting into the Regional Manager, the Store Manager role is responsible for building and maintaining a Customer First and sales focused culture through effective team leadership and financial management.


Your role will include (but not be limited to):

  • Promote and lead a Customer First and sales culture
  • Develop and maintain a high performing and engaged team who are recognised and rewarded
  • Manage poor performance and minimise absenteeism and turnover
  • Demonstrate safety leadership by implementing a safe work culture
  • Identify initiatives to drive local sales in conjunction with the Regional Manager and Planning Teams
  • Demonstrate an awareness of competitor activity
  • Analyse financial performance performance and develop action plans
  • Manage controllable expenses to budget and report exceptions to budget
  • Ensure visual merchandising, store layout and point of sale standards are maintained
  • Monitor and minimise internal and external shrinkage
  • Manage stocktakes
  • Loss prevention via customer service, not apprehension

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3 years + in a similar volume retail role
  • Management, Retail Management or other relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded
