For more than 140 years, Tattersall's Club has aspired to help shape Brisbane's future and drive the city forward.
As one of Australia's most prestigious private membership clubs, Tattersall's provides its influential community of more than 5,000 members with a range of services.
The Club's iconic, historically listed premises in the heart of the Brisbane CBD incorporate state-of-the-art facilities including restaurants and bars, function and event spaces, a recently renovated health and wellness centre, business centre, and accommodation, with Tattersall's also hosting a year-round calendar of exciting events.
Reporting to the Club President and working closely with Committee members, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for leading the commercial operations of Tattersall's Club to deliver value to members and guests.
This will involve directly managing a high performing and dedicated leadership team and overseeing circa 120 staff members focused on high quality services and activities, as well as delivering consistent financial performance and effective corporate governance to support operational resilience and financial stability, mitigate risks, and meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
The CEO position also acts as Secretary for the Tattersalls Racing Club, a separate entity that is licensed by Racing Queensland.
The Tattersall's brand has a storied history in the thoroughbred racing industry and a large and engaged member base.The Racing Club conducts several metropolitan race meetings each year, including the prestigious Group One Tattersall's Tiara.
To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated commercial and financial acumen and experience leading a high-performing team in a member-based organisation, hospitality company, or similar business.
A caring and influential leader, you have the natural ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with club members, team members, and guests.
Your credibility and presence complement your passion for quality customer service, and you enjoy motivating people to achieve excellence.Critical to your success will be a proven track record in working effectively with a Board or Committee, managing diverse relationships, and resolving challenges in a complex stakeholder environment.
