Townsville Hospital and Health Service are looking for an experienced Podiatrist for a full-time role

Eligible Health Workers who relocate to Queensland for permanent employment may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Attraction Incentive Scheme

The Role
The Podiatrist will provide a High-Risk foot service following Best Practice Guidelines to Queensland Health consumers, including those with chronic disease and 'acute and high-risk feet' such as amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease, and foot deformities.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Clinical Expertise: Podiatry service skills, knowledge, and expertise.
  • Communication: Ability to provide clinical advice on podiatry service delivery to senior managers and stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Clinical Ability: Applying evidence-based principles for complex clinical decisions in podiatry interventions.
  • Leadership: Strategic and operational direction to advance professional standards.
  • Self-Management: Prioritize and manage clinical and non-clinical responsibilities.

Other requirements

  • Must hold a tertiary Podiatry qualification and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Podiatry Board of Australia).
  • Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: National Police Certificate required for working in an identified Aged Care Facility.
  • Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Various vaccinations are required.
  • Possible weekend and holiday work on a rostered basis.

Remuneration package up to $132,730 annually including:

  • Salary range of $76,747 to $116,332 annually (HP3)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • Employer contribution to superannuation
  • Professional Development allowance + leave
  • Other benefits such as salary sacrificing, wellness programs, and corporate discounts
