The Media & Technology Team
Their Media & Technology team is one of Australia's most renowned in the Digital Law, Privacy and Cyber space.

They focus on the full life cycle of data/tech/privacy issues for global and local clients, both ASX listed, mid-market and SME.


The group acts on a wide range of litigious matters including technology contract breaches, cyber breaches, consumer law breaches other related digital law, technology, media and fin-tech disputes.


About the Role
Due to growth, they are now looking for a driven lawyer to join their Sydney-based team.


This role will see you reporting to various partners and other senior practitioners to help provide advice to clients for all their digital, privacy and security needs.


Requirements:


To be successful, you will be a talented lawyer with 2-4 years' PAE, who has a strong understanding of technology (although not essential) and commercial litigation.


In addition, you will have the following:

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to build long-term relationships with clients from a range of backgrounds
  • Be autonomous and have excellent organisation skills
  • Analytical research and drafting skills with strong attention to detail (including with preparation of evidence, court documents and advices to client)
  • Great communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Sound understanding of civil procedure rules (particularly in the Federal and NSW jurisdictions) and familiarity with rules of evidence.
