We deliver innovative and flexible services to empower people to thrive and live a great life, and we are committed to a philosophy that respects the rights of individuals to make informed choices about their lives. About the role We are searching for a Speech Pathologist to deliver specialist services to adults with complex swallowing and communication needs. About you This position is open to candidates seeking either full-time or part-time employment. We are looking for someone with experience in the delivery of speech pathology services within a disability sector context, with a focus on dysphagia and swallowing disorders, and the ability to develop individualised strategies and clinical management plans that are responsive to the person's needs and in line with their goals. You will have a positive attitude and be adaptive and flexible to the changing needs of clients, NDIS and the organisation. Throughout your work you will build on strengths, and where challenges arise, you will approach them collaboratively, in partnership with families, carers, teachers and colleagues. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
    • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current Certification with Speech Pathology Australia
    • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with adult caseload including experience working with people with specialised or complex needs and disability
    • Well-developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
    • Demonstrated clinical competency and experience in conducting assessments and writing high quality individualised assessment and program reports
You will also need to hold (or have the ability to obtain) a current Ochre Card, Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid certificate, evidence of Australian work rights, and an NT Drivers Licence. Why work with us? We provide a positive work environment that encourages and promotes work/life balance, a sense of humour and having fun.
