We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated gardener who will be solely responsible in overseeing a hydroponics unit based at Gallipoli Barracks (Enoggera)
.

You will receive full training and support while you manage a variety of cultivars in an indoor controlled environment from seed to harvest - a truly unique position for an eager Green Thumb

The Position:

  • Part time position
  • Access the chamber daily to supervise and monitor growth while utilising additional support and education, with the intent to refine the process of hydroponic farming.
  • Diligent monitoring and record keeping of all variables within the growing environment, including PH levels, temperatures, and tanks levels.
  • Identify crop, cultivar, and mechanical issues early, and work with external hydroponics company to resolve.
  • Maintain company policies and food safety practices while handling the fresh produce.

The Person:

  • Experience in hydroponics preferred, however not essential.
  • Licence and own transport to access to site.
  • Meticulously follow instructions while working autonomously to plan and schedule tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Communicate effectively and deliver timely and accurate feedback and data to stakeholders.
  • Safety conscious, problem solver with passion and drive to refine processes and get results.
