  • To support our mission, we are currently seeking a Cadet Electrical Designer to join our Electrical and Instrumentation design team in our Brisbane office.
    What does this role involve?
  • With support, complete detailed 2D design drawings from rough sketches utilising the latest Autodesk (AutoCAD) Design Suites
  • Work within budgets and schedules and maintain project files within a paperless digital design office
  • Work towards developing multidisciplinary skills and the completion of more complex designs
  • Contribute to periodic reporting and regular maintenance of drafting priorities and systems
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management systems
  • Develop an understanding of Sedgman standard specifications and current industry standards and best practices.

What are we looking for in our future team member?

  • Either:
  • Completed minimum 1 year (Full time equivalent) of Advanced Diploma / Associate Degree / Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering for NONtrade qualified applicants
  • Completion of Electrical Trade
  • Completed Certificate 3 in Electrical trade qualification
  • Previous experience in electrical design / consultancy / operational environment highly regarded
  • AutoCAD or Micro Station experience desirable
  • Skills in MS Office suite
  • High attention to detail
