THE OPPORTUNITY


The Lifestyle Department at Holmesglen are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Teacher in Sport and Recreation, to develop, implement and facilitate contemporary, evidence-based teaching and learning methodologies to maximise student learning outcomes.

The successful applicant will participate in all facets of the learning process from course enquiry and advice to assessing and determining the educational and training requirements of students within the SIS50321 Diploma of Sport and SIS30115 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation qualifications.


Salary:
$78,564 to $111,391 per annum pro rata + 10.5% super + annual leave loading (dependant on qualifications and experience).

Time Fraction:
Part-time, 0.4 to 0.6 EFT

Location:
Moorabbin campus.

WWCC:
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an 'employee' Working with Children Check.

Position Status:
Appointment to 31 December 2023.

ABOUT YOU

  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
  • Ideally, experience as a teacher of vocational and/or higher education and training programs.
  • Experience in implementing latest training and assessment strategies to meet student and course requirements.
  • Appropriate industry qualification.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) including the units TAELLN411 & TAEASS502 or equivalent units.

As part of The Faculty of Education, Services Skills and Environment, the Lifestyle Department is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced individual to teach within the SIS50321 Diploma of Sport and SIS30115 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation qualifications.


The successful applicant will be responsible for designing and implementing appropriate learning strategies, assessments, course materials and resources, assisting in the placement and assessment of students in practical work experience and developing professional relationships within the Sport and Recreation industries.
