About the Company

Our client is based in Noble Park and is a specialist Australian manufacturer at the forefront of the outdoor building industry providing innovative solutions for open space structures. They create customised engineered structures, and buildings for outdoor spaces. The structures include pre-fabricated products such as picnic and general purpose shelters, park accessories, public amenities, pedestrian bridges, viewing platforms and boardwalks. They are very focused on the environment , they keep sites free of rubbish and minimise the use of consumables .

About the Role

This role is ready for an experienced Estimator to hit the ground running. There is lots of variety , from sales, meeting clients, tender proposals and submissions, quoting on a wide variety of products and working on many projects at once. An opportunity to fully showcase your skills in a team environment. This is a full time, permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of tender proposals and submissions
• Knowledge and preparation of schedules
• Evaluation and continual development of materials and constructions techniques
• Liaise with Administration regarding various registers and co-ordination
• Negotiation with suppliers with respects to pricing, delivery, and lead times
• General quoting on a wide variety of products for the open space market including Public Amenities, Pedestrian Bridges, Boardwalks and Shelters.
• Awareness of the various utilities to consider
• Assist in the evaluation of new business and opportunities

Skills & Experience

• Building or Trades Experience preferred
• Proven experience as an Estimator - preferably 3-5 years
• Excellent skills with Microsoft Office
• Experience in Estimating Software preferred
• Ability to read and interpret contract/tender documents
• Construction White Card
