This position will provide technicalexpertiseto support the delivery of Okane's leading mine closure consulting services through an integrated life ofmineapproach.

This is a full time role, available in Perth or Brisbane.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Conceptual design and strategic development of solutions: Collate andassistin preparation of technical documentation,proposalsandreports in area of technical discipline.

Provide peer and technical review of reports developed by others.

Apply an understanding of environmental and engineering principles to progress and lead the delivery ofnew approachesto solve basic problems.

Assistin development of closure costings, cost estimation and closure scheduling.

Project management,clientand contractor liaison.

Senior mentorship and guidance:
Provide leadership and strategic direction within integrated mine closure projects.

Activelyassistin the development of conceptual models in support of mine waste storage facility closure plan development.


Supervise the simulation of geochemical, hydrologic and hydrogeologic conditions for a given model domain developed through robust conceptual model analysis.


Client relationship management and project communication: Prepare for and hold workshopsand risk assessments with variety of stakeholders and external project support.

Interact competently with internal and external stakeholders of varying levels ofexpertise.


Develop strong relationships with clients, foster existing client relationships, and leverage client relationships to generate new leads and opportunities or initiate referrals.

Demonstrate care about the wellbeing of yourself and others, through activelyparticipatingin occupational health and safety standards,activitiesand initiatives.

Experience preparing mining project approval applications with solid working knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks.


Strong written and oral communication skills, and experience with technical report writing, technical data and design review, and technical report peer review.

Demonstrated ability to competently use their initiative to resolve tasks or problems that arise.

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (geo-technical, environmental, geo-environmental, mining) or Science (geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry, chemistry) or similar.

Experience in mine closure and remediation either within Oceania or overseas.

Mining, or client-side experience is considered an asset (but is notrequired).

Ability and willingness to coordinate with staff and clients in different time zones.

Experience using relevant software packages including Drains, Siberia, Golden Surfer, Wepp, Deswik, Geostudio, Goldsimetc is considered an asset.

Experience building and leading a team is considered an asset.
