We are currently in search of a Senior SCADA Engineer. You will be tasked with developing complex SCADA solutions related to Metso BMH Engineering for product development and customer projects.

What You'll Do:
  • Responsible for engineering design and development, including preparing design or development specifications.
  • SCADA Development for internal products and external projects.
  • Develop and maintain the Metso product portfolio according to the roadmap and create specific solutions for customers.
  • Collaborate with a team of Control System Engineers.
  • Coach and mentor the Control System Engineers team.
  • Establish new company standards to support product development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interactions with internal/external customers and suppliers.
Who You Are:

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Engineering or technology in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics and Telecommunication/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years experience, preferably 10 years.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in industrial process control design, network architecture, and MES/ERP integration.
  • Strong expertise in SCADA design and delivery.
  • Experience with AVEVA (Citect) SCADA development.
  • Knowledge of developing and implementing industrial fieldbus protocols.
  • Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing and control system commissioning.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in bulk material handling processes.
  • Knowledge of InTouch, Cimplicity, Factory Talk View SCADA development.
  • Skills in configuring and troubleshooting industrial control systems and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in SQL development for industrial integration.
  • Designing process automation solutions for OEM equipment.
  • Project management experience.
  • Understanding of Plant Historians and Databases.
  • Engineers Australia membership (or eligibility).
