The RoleManage the provision of ambulance and non-emergency patient transport services in the geographical region.

Provide strategic and operational planning management for the Chief Executive and Executive Director - Operations in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania Business Plan.

Assist the Executive Director - Operations, in conjunction with other regional management personnel, in:


Setting and monitoring performance standards, including operational, clinical and financial standardsPlanning objectivesInformation feedback systemsComparing actual performance with the predetermined standardsEnsuring that all the regional resources, including financial, human resources and assets, are used in the most effective and efficient way possible to achieve the Service's objectives.

Manage Statewide portfolios as directed by the Executive Director - Operations

Details of AppointmentPermanent full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicantApplicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.$172,924 per annum.

Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Ambulance Tasmania Agreement 2022Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Registered with the Paramedicine Board of AustraliaHolds a Bachelor of Paramedic Science or other qualification approved by the Service and relevant work experience with an additional qualification in management or equivalentCurrent Driver's Licence*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.

It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.

This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.

Appropriate tertiary qualifications in management or significant progress towards completion of a management qualification.
