The Role


Expressions of interest are invited from engaging and passionate leaders and teachers of Physical Education and Sports who are: outstanding classroom teachers; knowledgeable in the curriculum area and in current pedagogical thinking; committed to student well-being and can demonstrate and model educational leadership.

The Physical Education and Sports Coordinator (Junior School Boys) is responsible for leading a high-quality, engaging Physical Education and Sports programme to Prep - Year 6 students, including:

  • Developing, delivering and continually reviewing a high quality and contemporary Physical Education curriculum and sports program that is aligned to current professional issues and trends;
  • Leading and mentoring a committed team of educators by providing guidance and direction on teaching and learning strategies;
  • Building the capacity of staff to deliver high quality, wellbeing outcomes for students in line with all policies and procedures for all year levels;
  • Actively initiate ongoing improvement to the programmes with a positive and proactive approach and in line with the School's Culture of Thinking and Care and Wellbeing pillars.


In addition to coordination of the PE and Sports Programme, you will teach Physical Education classes, with a time allowance provided.


The school offers a leadership position tenured for four years, with a full time ongoing position as a primary teacher guaranteed, commencing from January 2024.
