Job Description Summary

An exciting opportunity is available for a Pipe Welder to join the team at ServiceStream.

About the Role

Service Stream's Utilities division is looking for a skilled Pipe Welder to join our expanding company. In this role, you will be responsible for general and specialized welding on piping in workshop or on-site environments. Tasks include pipe fabrication, working from drawings to ensure high-quality maintenance and installation works.

Nature of position: Casual

Location: Port Melbourne

Reporting Line: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental Legislation
  • Following Service Stream's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance standards
  • Promoting work safety through inspections and process enhancements
  • Abiding by Client Safety Regulations and Site Requirements
  • Completing Service Stream and Client site training as needed
  • Setting up workshop equipment effectively for fabrication tasks
  • Evaluating work methods continuously and suggesting improvements

This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is dedicated to achieving positive client results and excels in stakeholder engagement.

About you:

  • Strong understanding of welding codes including AS2885, AS4041, ASME IX, AS1210, AS3992 & AS4037
  • Experience in cutting and welding piping on-site
  • Familiarity with construction, maintenance, and fabrication sectors
  • Background in oil, gas, or chemical infrastructure
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with supervisors and team members
  • Welder certification tickets 3e, 4, 5, 7
  • Construction Induction card
