An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Lecturer - Midwifery to join CQUniversity's School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences at the Rockhampton campus.

As a Senior Lecturer of Midwifery you will make significant contributions to the delivery of quality education and the academic and professional development of our students. You will also play a major role in scholarship, research and professional activities.

The successful applicant will bring to this position relevant qualifications, experience delivering quality courses and units (including flexible learning and multi-campus delivery modes), and a proven research track record including recent published research outputs.

Position Requirements

Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Possession of doctoral qualification (PhD) or equivalent in a relevant discipline. Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education An understanding of current professional and educational issues in higher education. Proven ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery students and supporting their educational development through multi-modal delivery strategies. Proven research track record with the ability to contribute to research in the School. Ability and willingness to take a team leadership role and mentor junior academic staff. Proven ability to develop innovative curriculum that ensure students are able to meet learning outcomes. Demonstrated leadership and management experience. Proven ability to lead research projects, supervise research students and win competitive grants (desirable).
