Business Lending (BL) is a specialized sales team offering a range of financial products such as working capital, business loans, asset finance, corporate finance, and property finance. The team is focused on managing Line 1 risk, product, process, portfolio, pricing, arrears, and financial difficulty. Working closely with bankers, data and analytics, digital, and customer experience teams, our goal is to excel as Australia's leading business bank by ensuring the financial wellbeing of individuals, businesses, and communities.

The Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) team, part of the Credit Risk Centre of Excellence (CoE), plays a crucial role in monitoring and optimizing the credit quality of the BL portfolio for safe and sustainable growth. By leveraging data-driven insights, the team collaborates with various BL teams to enhance the risk-return profile and streamline Time to Decision (TTD) outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analysis of risk and financial data to identify trends and insights for portfolio optimization.
  • Develop targeted dashboards to provide visibility of portfolio quality for BL teams.
  • Recommend initiatives to enhance BL portfolio composition through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Engage with stakeholders to provide credit risk support and influence credit strategy optimization.
  • Review and adjust key risk indicators to align with Business Banking risk appetite.

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in data-driven analytics to drive insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Excel, and R.
  • Analytical capabilities to solve complex problems and propose intuitive solutions.
  • Background in Finance and/or Credit Risk Management.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Maths, Actuarial, Finance, Engineering, or Sciences.
  • Risk mindset and commercial acumen.
  • Expertise in analytics, data management, risk management, and governance.
