About You

Ideally you will have knowledge of film extrusion and lamination. About the role

As the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for directing, leading and controlling all aspects of the Engineering & Maintenance Teams' activities to achieve short and long term business objectives. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this newly created position will be based in their South Australian operation and responsible for:

  • Actively maintaining and improving equipment and processes that manufacture SIG's range of products;
  • Staying current with new technology to support investment and expansion, to achieve world-class manufacturing standards;
  • Ensuring the Adelaide facility's plant and equipment comply with legislative requirements regarding health & safety, food safety and the environment;
  • Proposing and implementing engineering improvements, additions and modifications to meet manufacturing, market and business objectives;
  • Fostering a culture of accountability and ownership within the technical teams to manage programs, projects and processes effectively;
  • Managing and coordinating the maintenance team's workloads and activities to optimise the use of resources, aligned with strategic initiatives.
