The Uniting Church is a vibrant Australian Christian denomination with a rich heritage rooted in Reformed and Evangelical traditions.In this role, you will provide executive leadership and spiritual guidance to promote growth, collaboration, and renewal within our diverse community.
Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of ministry, including:- Vision Alignment: Oversee the implementation of our strategic priorities, mission, and values to drive purposeful growth and transformation.
- Missional Leadership: Empower Congregations and Church Councils to develop innovative expressions of church life and mission. Foster collaboration and partnerships while revitalising existing initiatives.
- Training and Support: Help cultivate healthy missionfocused cultures within congregations, offering guidance and capacitybuilding opportunities for ministry agents and lay leaders.
- Conflict Resolution: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in addressing conflicts or tensions within placements, ensuring unity and fostering positive relationships.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate the Presbytery staff team, nurturing a culture of partnership, effective communication, and common purpose.
As a Presbytery Minister, you will be at the forefront of engaging with UnitingCare Qld, Wesley Mission Qld, UCA schools and colleges, and other external establishments where UCA ministry is exercised.
- Personal faith in Jesus Christ and a sense of calling to the office of Presbytery Minister.
- Membership in the Uniting Church in Australia and a deep understanding of our mission and polity.
- Relevant qualifications in theology and ministry practice.
In addition, you should possess demonstrated leadership experience, a track record of fostering healthy Christian communities, and the ability to envision and implement strategic initiatives.
