Emergency Services Coordinator

The opportunity
Perilya, a leading mining company in Broken Hill, is seeking an Emergency Services Coordinator to join our team. As
the Emergency Services Coordinator, you will establish systems and skills that respond to emergency situations and
provide initial support and care to those affected, by providing professional leadership within the Emergency Services
team. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing emergency response activities to ensure the safety and
well-being of our employees, contractors, and the wider community.

**Key Duties
**- Coordination for training of Emergency Response skills

  • Relief Emergency Services Officer duties
  • Manage all aspects of Emergency Response equipment maintenance, including inspections
  • Coordination of Fit for Work testing across Perilya Broken Hill operations
  • Comply with all safety requirements, including Statutory obligations and site standards
  • Develop, maintain, and operate the emergency systems required to enable safe, reliable operation
  • Adhere to safety requirements, model safe work behaviour, and monitor safety of operations
  • Carry out safety interactions and inspections on a regular basis
**What will you bring?
**- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue (or equivalent units)

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Enterprise Trainer & Assessor or willing to obtain.
  • Occupational First Aid
  • Formal qualification in drug and alcohol testing
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety**
  • Previous experience in Emergency Services in Mining or other industry.
  • Engaging delivery of both theoretical and hands on, competency based training
  • Competency in a wide range of injury and illness response protocols and techniques
  • Coaching and mentoring experience in emergency operations
