Position summary
The Officer - Emergency Services contributes to our strategic impact of supporting communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters
Two positions are available:
Part time (30.4 hours per week)
This position is responsible for the delivery and assessment of Red Cross Emergency Services Training courses, in particular, Psychological First Aid training and community recovery-related training.
The focus of the role may be across one or more areas of emergency services work including operations, projects, volunteer management and community work to support communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters.
What you will bring
- Experience in emergency management, project management or community engagement and/or community development
- Experience working with volunteers/community members
- Experience in delivering project/program outcomes
- Experience supporting communities before, during, or after a disaster
- Ability to coach and develop individuals and teams
The role focused on training will require:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
and/or relevant experience - Demonstrated experience in developing training workshops
- Experience in blendedtraining (online and facetoface)
Mandatory requirements
- Working with Children Check
- Unrestricted Drivers License
