The Role


The Clinical Governance Manager works closely with the Director Help at Home and Program Manager Clinical Services to ensure the clinical governance, risk and compliance requirements of the Help at Home department for Kalyra.


Clinical Governance is an integrated set of leadership behaviours, policies, procedures, responsibilities, relationships, planning, monitoring and improvement mechanisms that are implemented to support safe, quality clinical care and good clinical outcomes for each consumer.


The purpose of clinical governance is to support the workforce and visiting practitioners in the service to provide safe, quality clinical care as part of a holistic approach to aged care that is based on the needs, goals and preferences of consumers.

Reporting to the Director, Help at Home, the Clinical Governance Manager will be mandated with the responsibility of implementing compliance oversight and quality assurance processes that monitor existing policies, procedures and operational practices and ensures effectiveness of compliance obligations and controls through:
Leadership and Culture;
Consumer partnerships;
Organisational systems;
Monitoring and Reporting; and
Communication and relationships.

What you will need to succeed

Registered Nurse with AHPRA (current license).
Experience in a clinical role where development and/or review of data was essential and corrective actions required (essential).
Current SA Driver's Licence is essential.
Current National Police Check (Aged Care/Vulnerable People).
Up to date vaccines per Kalyra Policy.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

An understanding of continual quality improvement:
Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the accreditation process

Basic understanding of ISO 9001: 2017 (desired).
Experience operating in a similar role (desired).
Experience working with quality, risk and governance systems and processes.

Education / Vocational Qualifications

Internal Auditor training (desired).
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desired).
