The Opportunity
Working with a large federal government agency based in Geelong the

APS5 Social Media Officer will join the Media and Marketing team. The team works to enhance the agency's reputation amongst key stakeholders and deliver impactful media and digital solutions.

This is a 12 month assignment, based in Geelong.

Responsibilities include;

  • Contribute to the development and production of Media, Marketing and Digital Communication materials
  • Ensure all employees have access to information delivered across a variety of channels
  • Ensure all materials are accessible and align with style and brand guidelines
  • Produce content for internal and external channels
  • Manage correspondence through team inboxes
  • Help manage the day to day operations of social media platforms, including content sourcing, calendar creation, scheduling and posting
  • Management of the enewsletter
  • Lead social media intelligence gathering and identify opportunities for information sharing

To be considered you will demonstrate;

  • Proficient use in various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in the disability sector would be advantageous
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite and Ad Manager
  • Experience working with Adobe cloud based programs to create digital assets
