About the Role:

There is an exciting opportunity to work within NALHN Digital Health as a Business Intelligence Analyst.


The Business Intelligence Analyst contributes to the provision of precise, timely and valuable insights to support NALHN's clinical, operational, and strategic decision making.

This role is central in delivering comprehensive reports through Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services and utilising dimensional modelling techniques that align with stakeholder needs, while maintaining governance guidelines.


The Business Intelligence Analyst:

  • Maintains knowledge of Power BI reporting, SQL Server Reporting Services, dimensional modelling, and other data visualisation techniques, along with an understanding of NALHN's data systems, including but not limited to the NALHN Data Warehouse.
  • Contributes to the design and execution of complex reports, dashboards, and analytics by leveraging dimensional modelling concepts, to provide meaningful insights for the organisation.
  • Collaborates effectively with various internal and external business areas to offer expert technical support for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions, including systems modifications and problem resolution.
  • Utilises specialised knowledge in Power BI, SQL Server, and dimensional modelling to work closely with stakeholders, translating business questions into actionable intelligence projects to support datadriven decisions.
  • Creates and documents modern information and data governance principles, procedures, and processes, including the administration of suitable documentation, and advocates the capacity to operate within an appropriate Information/Data Management framework.
