We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flight Instructor to join our flight school in Caloundra and Goondiwindi.

As a Flight Instructor, you will provide comprehensive flight training to aspiring pilots and assist them in obtaining their pilot licenses.

You will play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of aviators.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct flight training sessions, including pre-flight briefings, in-flight instruction, and post-flight debriefings, in accordance with the flight school's curriculum and aviation regulations.
  • Instruct and demonstrate flight maneuvers, instrument procedures, emergency procedures, and navigation techniques to students.
  • Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback and guidance to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Create customized lesson plans and training materials to meet students' individual needs.
  • Administer and grade written exams, flight tests, and other assessments to evaluate students' proficiency and ensure compliance with aviation standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' flight training progress and accomplishments.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and flight school policies.
  • Conduct periodic aircraft inspections to ensure they are airworthy and report any discrepancies to the appropriate maintenance personnel.
  • Stay current with aviation regulations, industry trends, and advancements in flight training techniques.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to student pilots throughout their training journey.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a current and valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Possess a Flight Instructor Rating (FIR) or Grade 2/Grade 3 Instructor Rating issued by CASA.
  • Minimum 2 years and 500 hours of flight experience, with a significant portion as a pilot-in-command.
  • Knowledge of aviation theory, flight operations, navigation, and aircraft systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively instruct and interact with students.
  • Patient, adaptable, and able to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using aviation software, flight simulators, and other instructional tools.
  • Prior experience as a flight instructor is preferred but not mandatory.

Salary:
$71,040.00 per year

Experience:

Flight Instructor: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Commercial Pilot Licence (preferred)
  • Flight Instructor Rating Grade 2/Grade 3 issued by CASA. (preferred)
