Global IT Services vendor in Brisbane looking for an experienced
Functional Consultant to be a part of large-scale, complex D365 implementations.


In this role, you will be responsible for working with customers and leading solution teams in planning, designing, building, testing, and maintaining Dynamics 365 implementations.

The role is based in Brisbane and they would consider people relocating to Brisbane. Hybrid Model working in Brisbane office 3 days per week and WFH.

This role would ideally suit an experienced Dynamics Functional Consultant with an Accounting background.


Alternatively, If you are a very qualified, experienced accountant who has been a user of Dynamics/AX or any other Finance and Operations tools on the client side of the fence, and is considering becoming a consultant that could work as well.

Two of the existing team members that started in the team, were actually accountants who were on the client side of F&O projects, and decided to switch to the vendor side.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with the client to meet time lines, ensure quality and meet the budget.
  • Involved with the endtoend implementation of MS Dynamics 365 F&O, including scoping, design, configuration, and testing.
  • Analyse business processes and provide recommendations for alignment with outofthebox solutions.
  • Continuously update business on implementation progress and problem resolution
  • Assist in system and business process reengineering as required.
  • Ensure technical design quality requirements are met.

Keys Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience with Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations
  • Strong Consulting experience in the Microsoft Ecosystem including D365 F&O or AX 2012 R2, R3 full life cycle implementations specifically in Supply Chain and /or Manufacturing and/or Finance, etc.
  • MS certifications in either finance/supply chain or both will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power platform, specifically Power BI
  • Exceptional Consulting skills gained across multiple projects and industries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  • Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex technical problems.
  • Client Centric attitude, with a sense of urgency, strong teamwork, flexible and positive Cando approach.

Alternative Skills:

  • When you think about what F&O (dynamics/AX) consultants do, the configuration of the system itself is maybe 3035% of the role.
  • The rest is working with clients understanding their GL's and reporting structures, working through changes to financial dimensions and how their accounting processes are going to fit into the system either out of the box or with customisations.
  • Having that core financial qualification and understanding coupled with being a people person and enjoying speaking to clients, is more important in the manager's assessment than the handson F&O implementation experience.
  • They will also give them experience by shadowing them, as well as mandatory training courses like MB300, MB310, MB330 etc.
