WHAT WE OFFER:

Base remuneration of $32 per hour, increases annually with experience. Superannuation added under government guidelines.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • A passion for working with children and music education
  • Teaching Experience is favorable but _not _essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly Reliable and Punctual

ABOUT OUR STUDENTS
The students at Melodic Minds Music School are of all ages and all backgrounds. Our client base is mostly primary school-aged children. The majority of students are at the beginner or intermediate levels, while a smaller portion are advanced students.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP
You will be contracted as a Casual Employee under the Miscellaneous Award (MA with Super.

TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teaching music lessons in groups (up to 5) and private settings
  • Light administration of taking attendance and lesson notes each week
  • Building a strong rapport with students and families
  • Ensure lessons are fun and engaging
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Enable all students to progress through their musical journey
  • Preparing students for performances
  • Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual student's needs, musical interests, and abilities
  • Teach music theory, aural skills, and practical techniques to students
  • Always have a nurturing and encouraging approach towards students
