QinetiQ is now recruiting for an experienced tactical CISO to join QinetiQ's IT family.

Reporting to the CIO, the CISO will play a key role in QinetiQ IT leadership and will lead, develop and execute QinetiQ's cyber and information security strategy across QinetiQ's business operations in various countries.

As the CISO (Australia Sector) you will be accountable for:
  • Shaping and executing the cyber and information security strategy including the delivery of cyber security operations and capability uplift across the Australia Sector
  • Participating in QinetiQ's global security organisation, driving strategic vision, setting standards, policies & guidance, and representing the Australia Sector interests
  • Championing and promoting a positive cyber-aware security culture across the organization including security awareness training
  • Leading cyber and information security risk assessments, balancing risk mitigation against operational requirements
  • Acting as the lead contact for cyber and information security related audits, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance checks
  • Providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring for the IT security team and other security functions across the sector
  • Monitoring QinetiQ's cyber and information security threat landscape and providing advice to key stakeholders
  • Offering regular KPI reporting related to cybersecurity operations
The CISO (Australia Sector) will need:
  • Significant experience in the IT industry with demonstrable experience as a senior leader in managing cyber and information security
  • Proven track record in developing security policies, procedures, and executing capability uplift programs
  • Experience in Cyber Incident Response oversight, coordination, planning, and exercising
  • High degree of knowledge in information security frameworks such as ACSC's ISM, Essential 8, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001
  • Strong communication and engagement skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels of an organization
  • Experience of IT Security systems management principles and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional networks

Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Australian Government Security Clearance.
