French LOTE Teacher

About the Role:
Bonjour Calling all passionate Secondary French LOTE teachers looking for a part-time (0.6) position Tradewind is working with an F-9 school located in Caroline Springs, Melbourne's West, to fill a teaching position for year 7-8 French LOTE (with other possible teaching methods to make up a full-time position if desired), starting from Term 3. Join a community minded school dedicated to providing an excellent teaching and learning environment.

Key duties:

• Develop age-appropriate and engaging curriculum plans that align the Victorian Curriculum for French LOTE Secondary levels.
• Deliver effective and interactive French LOTE language instruction, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and language structures.
• Introduce aspects of French culture into lessons through age-appropriate activities, stories, and projects to foster cultural awareness.
• Design assessments to evaluate their language acquisition and provide constructive feedback to students
• Collaborate with other teachers and departments to integrate French language and culture into broader educational themes and projects.
• Stay informed about developments in language education, attend workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
• Skills & Experience:
• Must have full Australia Working Rights
• Hold VIT registration
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary French LOTE
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).

Offering:

• Commencing from Term 3, part time 0.6
• Teaching French LOTE to students in years 7-8 with other possible methods offered to make up full time
